Even on Sundays meat and milk products were prohibited. So the coronation
meals likely represent normal Sunday fare with dispensation for the meat

So we have any idea what this dispensation might have consisted of? Was it a pledge of some type? Direct payment to the bishop (or whomever)? Since we're talking about a coronation feast, I can see (mostly political) arguments for this dispensation being rather high or that it would have been greatly reduced.
