Have you thought about reading the articles into a voice recognition program? Nuance has Dragon Dictate for Mac. I use the windows version.

I actually have a 5-year-old "private" version of ABBYY FineReader at work
($50 at that time, as opposed to the $500 for the "pro" version - they
appear to have consolidated the two into a mid-priced "pro" version only),
where I do historic digitization, and although it's a little clunky to use,
the quality of its output is EXCELLENT.
