I am confused by this. Hake is a fish related to cod and haddock,
but not related at all to conger eel. Or do you mean that conger eel
is as common in South America, as hake is in the north? Or that is
used like hake is? I'm not sure I've ever had hake, not labeled that
way, anyhow.
