[Sca-cooks] RE honey and a two way street

Obvious. The white honey my husband bought was thick, the pure thing. The white thing sold in my supermarkets is a processed item, a syrup as you say.

Anyway, I made almond brittle with sugar as the really pure honey simply is not available in my supermarkets.

We were commenting today how frustrating it is to try to produce medieval recipes with products offered in supermarkets and even markets today.

As indicated in the quest, I need to go to the Indian market or shop and then the oriental one and then to the arabic one beside markets et al. I know the arabs but they to are limited. Like all, they do not sell what is not marketable so again I am stuck.

I have found a place selling pig intestines in order to make sausages but then how many of you have that privilege? Its a two way street. How do you coop?
