[Sca-cooks] Affording a period feast

Afford may be an issue. Volker's email address is in Germany. While I can
make valid estimates of cost for a number of regions in the U.S., I have no
local knowledge to be able to do that in Germany.

It also occurs to me to ask, "What do you mean by medieval feast?" I can
produce historical recipes in fairly accurate manner with enough choices to
simulate a feast for the SCA or a dinner party, but if asked to reproduce
the quantities and multiplicity of dishes from an actual feast menu, I would
be seriously concerned about the kitchen capacity and the trained available
staff to handle the project. It may also be that Volker has no suitable
site available to produce a feast

Why "afford?" I don't see any reason why a period feast would have to be
more expensive than a not-period feast. Some period recipes use
expensive ingredients, some don't.
