Pretty much any kind is okay. Just make sure it is
lead free and free from any kind of poisonous substance.
Modelling clay should be just fine.
I have a link somewhere for someone who did this and
had a suggests low-fire white ceramic clay. The birds
will be wrapped in parchment paper and the clay over
that so there won't be much contact anyway.
We'll need enough clay to make a medium thick encasement
around two Game Hens. I'll look around the art stores here
as well and maybe do some testing either at Countess Regina's
or at Warlord. Of course I'll post the results of the first test.
