Scappi was never translated until recently. The translation is by 
Terence Scully.
Devra does sell the book. It's up to $95.00 according to the publisher.  
Titled:
The Opera of Bartolomeo Scappi (1570): L'arte et prudenza d'un maestro 
Cuoco (The Art and Craft of a Master Cook) (Lorenzo Da Ponte Italian 
Library)
The illustrations from the original are included.
Sorry the labels are not translated but there are numerous dictionaries 
for Italian /English work that will work.
The facsimile from Italy runs quite a bit more than that so the English 
version is a bargain.

Thanks!  I just may do that.  Sadly, I'll be missing Pensic this year, 
so I'll talk to the local folks.

Also, does anyone have a translation of the labels in the picture?  Or 
whatever those Italian words represent?
