[Steppes] Fighter Practice Location

I just wanted to let the list know that as admin I have noticed that the
subscriptions to this list just about doubled since this discussion started.
There is a great deal of interest in this subject and from what I can tell
yes the new subs are NOT fighters. You guys have been here all along and
have stuck it out no matter what.

Looking at the archives of the last round of discussions I can see that the
highest number of posters then were also NOT fighters.

BUT this round of postings are coming from the majority of the current
fighters that come to the practice.

I can keep on going about stats. But the bottom line is still, the fighters
are posting this time around, more so than the last. The majority of the
ones that posted last time around were not. Most unsubbed from the list
almost as soon as the discussion ended and I have notice they have not come
back. Nor are they fighting at the new location they wanted it to be moved
to.

If all it takes is for some of us to agree to bring out our pavilions to the
current location to have shade then let us do that. But apparently there is
more to it than that and I for one want to continue hearing from the
fighters. Again, I have to say a majority of the postings this time around
are from the fighters.

I just got back from one of the parks that was on the list and I really
really wish there was a way we could use that one, Campbell Rec Center off
of Coit in Plano. My son loves that place, that is where his T-Ball practice
is. But again no shade. It is huge, level, lights abound, enclosed play area
with water fountains, no bathrooms that I could see. The internal rec area
is huge. This is a beautiful facility that is an example of what would not
work for us.

No I am not a fighter, archer, or equestrian this time around. I have been
waiting for the right time to restart fighting again and that is soon for me
(just got the ok from the doctor). My daughter will soon be an equestrian
participant if the summer goes well (we will talk later Aimee). I like the
others do not care where we go to fight/practice so long as I can fight at
least two or three times a week and she can ride at least once a week. For
me any place is an hour away, period. Like Aimee, I do not care how much
stuff I have to lug to get there either so long as we get to practice. My
husband on the other hand is a lazy butt that needs to get out there too
(Yes I am going to drag him out again soon!!). :)

This is my well informed Admin's worth of 2 cents.

Sincerely,
Chiara Francesca Arianna d'Onofrio
And daughter Alexandria
