[Steppes] need help with Phone line

Greetings Folks,
 
I need someone with excellent knowledge of in-house phone hookups to  run a 
phone line for a jack beside my Mother's bed.
 
The AT&T Phone man came out and very kindly explained how to install a  jack 
and even gave me all the lines and jack, etc., to save me the 99  dollar per 
half hour fee, but the one jack I was going to branch off of has been  rigged 
into a two line system with the wire going up into the attic. That's  after the 
wire was run through the closet wall.
 
We will get rid of the 2nd phone line after my DSL is installed.
 
Please help - cash or barter.
