A local event is a "standard" event. Sponsored by one group and doing activities relating to that group. Steppes Warlord, Elfsea Defender, etc. Group gets the profit. Groups are limited on how many calendar events they can have.

A regional even needs to be sponsored by more than one group in the region. Both groups get to split the profit. Also does not count against a group's limit of calendar events.

A kingdom event is where somethign happens that is "kingdom" sponsered. King's Champion, Kingdom A&S, King's College, etc. It can be combined with "local" activities (IE. 12th Night. When lindenwood did Queen's Champion and Midsummer Masque, etc). Kingdom gets a portion of the profit. How much depends on what event and if the kingdom provides operating funds. That is all written in Kingdom law. This does also not count against the groups quota of events.

Basically as a Barony we are limited to 2 local events on the kingdom calendar. We can have additional off-calendar events. Cantons and shires both get one I believe.
