Good Gentles,

I have been reading this discussion with great interest and apologize for a non-timely response (problems with my e-mail server). I will now apologize in advance to all the people who are going to misunderstand and get hurt feelings over this post.

Warlord is basically an event celebrating martial arts as well as the after parties which is where all the bardic stuff comes in (my opinion here only). Artisan is focused on the arts and artisans (my opinion here only). Twelfth Night is a yule celebration of the highest order (again, my opinion).

Warlord is the Barony's money maker which allows us to put on Artisan, Fall Court and Twelfth Night as break even (monetarily) events. To keep any kind of parity between the A&S group and the Martial Arts Group, it only makes sense to keep Warlord and Artisan as our Kingdom Calendar events.

Now, I really like the idea of Twelfth Night as a regional event for a number of reasons: 1. Work Sharing. From my personal observations, the work done at this event is usually shared among many individuals living in the region and making this a regional event would simply make this official rather than unofficial. Also, since many hands make light work, this will give all of us the opportunity to work with many others in the region, get to know them better, figure out new and better ways to do things, etc. Also, there is the distinct possibility that no one will be in a state of exhausted collapse post-event. 2. Expense Sharing. The cost of the event will drop drastically for the local group and will not be prohibitively expensive for any group when the cost is shared. 3. Revenue Sharing. Profits made can be split among the groups putting on this event. 4. Idea Sharing. With the influx of new people working on the event, new ideas can be implemented to
enhance this event. I liked the gaming tent last year and I am sure that there are more ideas out there to enhance this event.

Many people in the Central Region and other regions attend this event. With the sanction of a regional event and it's relatively central location, we can expand the grand yule party aspect of this celebration.

Covering my burning ears and running for cover,

Lady Fionnghuala the Fair, a person of no importance.
