Hi everyone.  Over dinner tonight HL Ryah suggested (with her Regional 
Seneschal hat on) :) that any application for a Regional office should be 
posted before the populace of that Region.  I think that is a very good idea 
since a Regional officer serves the Region.  Therefore, please be advised 
that I have applied for the Western Regional Exchequer position.

Greetings Lady Isobail,

My name is Safiye op Griffith.  I reside in the Shire of Trelac in the 
Western Region of Ansteorra.  From conversations a few months ago with our 
Regional Exchequer, HE Anastasiya Feodorovna, I understand that her already 
extended warrant is almost up.  Last we spoke, we agreed that I would put in 
my application in August.  Therefore, please accept this missive as a formal 
request for the office of Western Regional Exchequer.

I have been in the SCA and in Ansteorra for 14 years.  I have held the 
several local offices including: Hospitaler, Chronicler, Exchequer, and 
Deputy Seneschal.  I have held the regional office of Hospitaler.  The 
Kingdom and my Region have seen fit to bestow me with the honor of an Award 
of Arms, a Sable Comet of Ansteorra, a Sable Crane of Ansteorra, an 
Ansteorran Star of Merit, and a Court Barony.

My membership number is 90653 and is paid through July 31, 2007.  I 
apologize for not including a copy of my membership card and drivers 
license.  My scanner is currently disabled.  I will send you a copy of both 
via USPS on the morrow.

Mundanely, I am Kathy Childress.  I have a Bachelors degree in Accounting 
and I have extensive knowledge of MS Excel.   I work for Verizon 
Communications in the Wholesale Collections division as a Collections 
Specialist and Trainer.  I reside at 118 Las Lomas Drive, San Angelo, TX

I am applying for this office because I feel that no one person should be 
burdened with holding the same office multiple times.  HE Anastasiya has 
served well as our Regional Exchequer at least two times.  I feel that I 
have been remiss that I have not offered to hold this office in the past and 
wish to rectify that situation now.  I am well acquainted with the core 
member of each group in the Region and have a good rapport with all of them. 
  I have the background, skills, and willingness to hold this office in 
support of the Kindgom and Region.

I currently hold the office of Exchequer in Trelac.  If you choose to award 
me this position, I have a competent deputy who will fill the office in my 
place.  Mundane issues have placed Trelac behind on reports (May & June).  I 
have been remiss in not contacting Anastasiya to explain these matters.  
However, rest assured that all reports have been mailed (today – including 
July).  I understand that my allowing the Shire to be behind does not speak 
well in my favor.  I can only provide you with my assurances and my word 
that as a Regional officer I will not be behind -- Ever.  I am willing and 
able to travel to each group and to all Regional events.  My Lord and I 
strive to make all Regional events and as many Kingdom events as possible.
