In
2009, the Board of the SCA, Inc established the Grants Committee to
seek out and secure funding for designated projects. The Committee’s
efforts will target projects that would not otherwise be financially
possible with general operating funds. These projects will be of the
sort to benefit the Society as a whole and will focus on furthering the
achievement of our organizational mission.

The Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. (SCA) is an international organization
devoted to the research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century
life, employing knowledge of history to enrich participants’ lives and
the lives of others through events, demonstrations, and other
educational venues.

Members
of the Grants Committee will contact many individuals to request
input. I ask that you offer your ideas and recommendations to these
individuals who have already invested time and effort in planning and
preparing for their role of acquiring financial resources to benefit
our Society.

Committee
members: Karl Hamner—Committee Chair, Leslie Vaughn—Ombudsman to the
Board, Laurie Rushdon, Natalie Baird, Denise Simmons, Elizabeth Kopas,
Eleanor Morgan, John McLeod-Hughs, Sarah Cutten, and G.Robin Smith.

Yours In Service,
Denise Leeson-Provost
President
SCA, Inc.
