well, after the stream of profanity had died down....

i'd be on the phone to all my friends who have freezers 
and see what could be cooked and stored and held. 
 hopefully no salads were involved!

i think it's a good lesson to learn... a very savvy cook 
keeps one eye on the food cost and the other on the 
forecast.  at least in winter.

and boy, does my heart go out to them.
