Just regular Swedish fish candy - they are batter dipped first - same with
the pixi-sticks - the crystals are mixed in with the batter (as are the
mm's)

Yes it is different - the deep fryer gives the skin a different texture than
I've ever had with a skillet.

Some items are breaded first and some are not.  No need to bread potato
chips or cream puffs.

I will say that the bacon covered scotch eggs did not work out so well - the
bacon kept falling off.
