[Sca-cooks] Ambargris Pudding & Other Perfumed Foods

I have a recipe for ambargris pudding in my blog entry "ambargris" at

One of my followers asks if it is still being made in England today. 
Does anyone happen to know? What is the status on perfumed foods today? 
Are they still being made?
Also she comments that my recipe is very English because the pudding is 
stuffed into sausage casing. As explained in my blog, the recipe, 
however, was given to Lord Conway at a reception for him by an Italian. 
Did Latins at anytime stuff puddings into sausage casings?
