De asked:
<<< I have not search the floregium(SP?) yet as it can be a bit over
whelming
and my ADD kicks in. There is a demo coming up and if I can get the
Italian
Ren. costume made I was hoping to bring something Italian for my fellow
demonstrators (had some Panetone but it's going for French bread or
bread
pudding this weekend). Any suggestions? Just the name is fine, this
helps as
I know what to look for and shorten my search. W/recipe is grand. >>>
This is the general finger food file in the Florilegium. In the FOOD
section. There may be some Italian foods in here, but it isn't
specifically Italian items.
finger-foods-msg (26K) 7/ 5/09 Ideas for finger foods at feasts and
events.

In the FOOD-BREADS section:

This one isn't finger food by itself, but you could put it into
something else to eat. In the FOOD-MEATS section:
Ital-Stuffing-art (20K) 11/ 3/02 "Stuffing Recipes from 16th Century
Italian
Cookbooks" by Lady Helewyse de
Birkestad.

In the FOOD-SWEETS section:
panforte-msg (20K) 5/15/10 A medieval Italian, sweetened,
spiced dessert
bread similar to fruitcake or
Lebkuchen.

There are probably some more files with specifically Italian recipes,
but these are the only files I can find that seem to fit and are
explicitly Italian. If you have a type of food, that might be Italian,
I'd be happy to help where you might find that item in the Florilegium.
Are you finding browsing the Florilegium difficult just because of
it's size and volume of information? Or in navigating the site? I'm
certainly willing to listen to any suggestions folks might have on
improving it or making it more useable.
There is also a search engine on the top page of the site that can be
useful in searching for items that might not have a file specifically
for them.
